Inspection machines and gauge tooling is our specialty. Please see some of the many product we offer to inspect for
flaws or to tolerance parts. Your Quality is our success!
We manufacture machinery featuring
Automation Innovation Inc. Capacitive
ID/OD Non Contact inspection probes.
This includes but certainly is not
limited to the following types of
checks:
- Chamfers
- Bores
- Slots
- Grooves
- Splines
- Keyways
- Bore Depth
- Chip Contamination in machined features
- Threads
This inspection machine was built to inspect Air Bag detonation deploy devices for Bore
size and depth, retention groove position and size, and metal debris in the ID that would
cause field failures. The system utilizes an Automation Innovation Inc. Capacitive Probe
integrated into a CMM Rotary Dial chassis machine. The Dorner infeed conveyor
adjustable to several different part series feeds the IAI pick and Place to load the indexer
dial. In the precision indexer dial, the part is transferred throughout, where it is visually
inspected by a high resolution cognex camera for machined features, then bore
inspected by the capacitive probing station. Finally the part is ejected down different
chutes based on failure mode or passing part type into customer baskets. Exit chutes
include: Part type "A" Passing, Part type "B" Passing, Camera Rejection, Probe
Rejection.

Inspection & Process Monitoring
Press and Assembly Verification
• 100% inspection for Zero-Defects (reduce your PPM’s to less than ONE PART PER MILLION)
• Monitors the entire press or assembly cycle (no “one shot” peak detection here)
• Greater detail than peak-to-peak load detectors (defects can occur over the entire cycle not just at the peaks)
• Greater coverage than single point load detectors (monitoring the entire cycle gives you greater confidence in detecting problems)
• Statistical based boundary construction (uniform boundaries do not take into account the affects of process variation)
• Use it to improve your process (always know what your process is doing)
• Adaptable to all types of assembly, press fit, staking, stamping and metal or plastic deforming operations
Process Monitoring Systems
• Broad range of sensing technologies and experience (utilize Laser, Capacitive, Inductive, Force, Torque, Pressure, Ultrasonic, Fiber-optic, Vision 2D and
3D, etc.)
• Proven applications (Thread Inspection, Press Verification, Staking Inspection, Assembly Verification, Robotic Assembly Monitoring, 2D and 3D Profilers,
Leak Testing, Flow Measurement, Inductive Heat Treat Monitors, Test Benches, Gauging Systems Integrated into Machining and Assembly Lines)
• Extremely Fast (<50 microseconds analysis time)
• Windows OS based user friendly/menu driven software for setup, teaching and running
• User interface and operational software can be easily customized to meet your application’s requirements
• Retrofit to existing machines or lines
